Laminate
Laminate flooring is a layered product built around a watertight glued high density fibre board. Unlike natural woods or carpets, laminate does not fade when exposed to sunlight and is very resilient to stains impacts and scratches, made possible due to the incredibly durable melamine plastic wear layer manufacturers use for the top surface.
Laminate varies in thickness (6 - 14 mm) can have either a smooth flat surface with minimal visual joints, or a textured living surface with a bevelled edge clearly identifying each plank representing a natural wood look. Laminate is very easy to maintain with just a sweep or light vacuum followed by a wipe over with a damp cloth or mop.
